Visual eForms
Toolbox is an electronic forms toolkit for developers. A
component-based electronic forms API built around Microsoft’s Component
technology and Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC), Visual eForms Toolbox
allows developers to create custom applications in C++, VB, VBScript,
JavaScript, Jscript, Delphi, powerBuilder, Lotus Notes and many other
programming languages and programming environments. Visual eForms
Toolbox can be integrated into any 32-bit Windows application that can
act as a container to an ActiveX control. ActiveX control can also be
integrated into HTML to empower and add additional functionality to it.
This very important capability enables the development of powerful
Web-based applications using Cerenade’s Filler Control.
What are the advantages of Cerenade's Visual eForms Toolbox?
- Easy integration with other applications
- Visual eForms Toolbox features...
- - Open architecture allowing for ease of integration with third party
products, ranging from workflow engines (i.e., Lotus Notes) to document
management systems (FileNet, Documentum, etc.)
- Reduced costs and increased savings
- Visual eForms Toolbox ensures...
- - Reduced costs of deployment of web-enabled applications because
of its thin client approach.
- - Potential huge dollar savings in organizations that support a large
number of desktop systems requiring version updates... now support is
centralized and enterprise-wide.
- - Time savings for version updates which previously were cumbersome
because of slow modem connections to the Internet.
- Protect existing technology investments
- Visual eForms Toolbox allows...
- - Protection of existing technology investments because the quick and
cost-effective migration path from other electronic form engines (FormFlow,
PDFs, OmniForm, etc.) limits time and money resources, as well as ensuring
minimal disruption to the current workflow.
Integration
Can be integrated into any 32-bit Windows application that can
act as a container to an ActiveX control.
Open Architecture
Open architecture is a major advantage
over the monolithic approach of legacy eForms engines. This feature
allows for extensibility and ease of integration with third party
products ranging from workflow engines such as Lotus Notes to document
management systems such as FileNet’s Panagon and Documentum’s DOCFusion.
Thin client
A thin client approach greatly reduces
the cost of deployment of web-enabled applications developed on top of
Visual eForms Toolbox. In larger organizations where there are a great
number of desktop systems that need to be updated with new versions of
the electronic forms engine, this could translate into huge dollar
savings. Furthermore, for Internet applications, this feature is a must
since some users may have a slow modem connection to the Internet.
Forms Conversion/Import facility
Existing technology investments can be
protected through Visual eFoms Toolbox’s quick and cost-effective
migration path from other electronic form engines such as FormFlow,
JetForm, PDF, Word, OmniForm, and many more.
